Bayfield Lavender Farm: Spring Preview!

What to look forward to this 2024 Season:

Bayfield Lavender Farm will be opening up to visitors again for some Spring hours (AKA: weekends only) beginning MAY 25th. This will be a lovely, peaceful time to come by, see what’s blooming early, and check out what’s new in the farm shop.

Once we hit Mid-June, the farm’s opening hours will expand through to the end of season with some new additions! I’m offering some workshops and events that you might be interested in. Please note: I’ll be updating workshops & events regularly leading up to Summer as all the pieces come together, so be sure to check back often!

For returning visitors: You may notice the entrance to the farm looks a little different this year: we’ve installed a house for my mother-in-law (BrendaLee) along our laneway and will be working to landscape it over the Summer. She is an avid gardener and you might see her helping out around the farm. This also means we’ve been able to expand our parking area a little bit!

Bottle Exchange Program:

Though my ultimate goal is to have a re-fillery set up onsite, some Winter health challenges have meant that I needed to simplify my wish list. What I am implementing this year though is a BOTTLE EXCHANGE.

What does this mean? If you have any bottles (from my bottled products… obviously) that you’ve been saving or just don’t know what to do with, rinse them out and bring them to the shop during opening hours. You will get $1 off your next Bayfield Lavender Product (purchased in person)! The returned bottles will be fully sanitized, given new lids, and put back into production.

New Products coming in May 2024:

Lavender Linen Spray - A natural fabric refresher with a delicately scented boost.

Pure Lavender Hydrosol & Pure Cedar Hydrosol - Steam distilled right here on the farm, hydrosol (floral water) is the byproduct of making essential oil. This year, I'll be offering bottles of it for you to use however you’d like! Suggestions: replace water with hydrosol as an ingredient in homemade household cleaner, use purely as a fabric mist for ironing, or add it to your bath. These also work as a beautiful refresher for fabric if you don’t want anything too scented.

In collaboration with Dybosia: Lavender & Bergamot Dishwashing Bar- This is great to have on hand in the kitchen to add to your dishwashing routine. Though it works differently than traditional liquid dishsoap, it’s a wonderful way to cut down on plastics while enjoying a the lovely, natural scent. Works best when use with a sisal dish brush or classic dish cloth: more direction to come.

I also have a few new soap experiments in the works...

So, that's a little taste of what's to come this Summer. I hope it will brighten your day!
